Intel have just concluded its Q4’s financial, and during the presentation, Intel’s current CEO – Bob Swan – as well as the upcoming CEO – Pat Gelsinger – provided some information regarding the new CPU launch to shareholders.
He also shared that Sapphire Rapids and Alder Lake for mobile and desktop processors have been sampled to Intel’s partners. The Alder Lake CPUs will be mass manufactured in the second half of 2021, while Sapphire Rapids will finish its speculation by the end of 2021.
For the future plans, upcoming Intel’s CEO, Pat Gelsinger, also talked about 7nm process. After examining Intel’s 7nm process himself, Gelsinger said he is pleased with the process’s health and the recovery of 7nm program.
The next Intel’s CEO is confident that, in 2023, most of Intel’s products will be manufactured internal, but while Intel is expanding its territories, some of them will have to be outsourced to external fabs.
